How do I cancel a standing order?

To cancel a standing order online or on your mobile app you will need to give us 2 working days notice.

For example: If a payment is due to leave your account on a Friday, the final opportunity to cancel the standing order is by close of business on Wednesday.

 

How to cancel a standing order using your mobile app

  • Log in to your mobile app.
  • Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen.
  • Make sure the account displayed is the one used for the standing order. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'.
  • Tap ‘Regular payments’.
  • Select ‘Standing Orders’.
  • Tap on the standing order you wish to cancel.
  • Choose ‘Cancel Standing order'.
  • Confirm your choice by clicking 'Yes, cancel standing order'.
  • You will receive a notification confirming that the standing order has been cancelled.

 

How to cancel a standing order using Online banking

  • Log in to Online banking at www.onlinebanking.iombank.com/login (opens in a new window).
  • In the main menu, select 'Payments & transfers'.
  • Click on the 'Standing orders' tab.
  • Choose the account where the standing order is set up.
  • Click on 'Manage standing orders'.
  • Find and select the standing order you want to cancel.
  • Click 'Cancel standing order'.
  • Confirm your choice by clicking 'Cancel standing order' again.
  • You will receive a notification confirming that the standing order has been cancelled.
