How do I change my Online banking PIN or password?

  1. Log in to Online banking at www.onlinebanking.iombank.com/login (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Security' from the main menu
  3. From within the 'Change log in details' section select either 'Change your PIN' or 'Change your password'
  4. Follow the on screen instructions.

Please remember the PIN and password you choose will be used with both Online banking and telephone banking.

 

PIN criteria

 

Your new number must have four digits. To keep your PIN secure, we won't accept:

  • Numbers in an ascending or descending order, for example 1234 or 7654
  • The same number three or four times in a row for example 1222 or 7777

 

Password criteria

 

Your password needs to be between 8 and 20 characters with both letters and numbers, with no spaces, symbols or special characters.

In addition, please ensure that you follow the guidance below to keep your password secure:

  • Avoid using dictionary words, names, or other easily guessable information
  • Don't use common patterns like "qwerty" or "1234"
  • Consider using a phrase or sentence with a few modifications, like replacing letters with numbers
