Manage your payment limits
Online banking available to customers aged 11+ with an Isle of Man Bank account. App available to customers aged 11+ with compatible iOS & Android devices and an Isle of Man, UK or international mobile number in specific countries.
To amend your personalised payment limits, you will need a card reader or mobile app registered for biometric approval and your online banking login details. Biometric approval is available to eligible app customers aged 16 or over.
What are payment limits?
Payment limits set the maximum amount you can pay across all services each working day. To help protect you from fraud and scams, you can adjust your daily payment limits based on your needs.
- These limits apply to payments made from your personal or business account to other people.
- Bill payments are not included in these limits.
How to manage your payment limits
You can easily adjust your payment limits through our mobile app or online banking. The daily maximum limits are:
- For personal customers: £20,000
- For business customers: £50,000
We suggest setting your payment limits at a level that meets your needs for security and convenience.
What you’ll need:
- Registration for online banking or the mobile app.
- A card reader or our mobile app registered for biometrics approval (available for eligible app users aged 16 and over).
Restrict payments made with your debit card
With our mobile app, you can easily block specific types of transactions on your debit card, including:
- Contactless payments
- Online purchases
- Gambling payments
You can also freeze or unfreeze your debit card anytime using the mobile app or online banking.
