Changes to our business banking tariff

What are the changes?

From 29th May 2021, we’re making some changes to the fees and charges for our business banking customers. The main changes are:

  • An increase in the monthly account maintenance fee.
  • An increase in charges for cheques, cash and coin transactions and some types of manual payments.

We suspended fees for all electronic / digital payments on 8th April last year, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. A number of these will remain free as part of the new tariff:

  • Fees for payments made via Bankline or eQ will be reinstated from 29th May 2021.
  • Fees for payments made via all our other digital banking services (Online and Mobile banking) will be free of charge.

Why are we making these changes?

There’s a continued trend towards the use of Online and Mobile banking, as well as a reduction in the use of traditional payment methods such as cash and cheques.

We want to make sure we’re creating a sustainable bank for the future, and are committed to supporting our customers with the move to digital ways to bank. This will be through investment in our Online and Mobile banking services and direct support for you. To help with the move to digital banking, we are removing fees for electronic / digital payments made via Online and Mobile banking.

The increasing costs for providing branch based, manual transactions is reflected in the increase in our charges for these types of services.
